Hope you guys are having a great week so far. My schedule is jam packed this week with stocking my booths, a client install, and helping another client do some styling and painting. Today, though, I had a little extra time to clean up a few things around here and decided it was time for a change in my kitchen. Iâm making it a goal this year to think outside the box. I know, that seems a bit silly for a goal, but I never want to feel like Iâm doing exactly what everyone else is doing. I really have no problem with doing things that I like even if it seems a bit different. Well, today was one of those days. I yanked a chippy shutter off of the wall and decided it needed to be my table runner. Totally normal, right?
Shutter Table Runner
I have actually been looking for a white runner for my table for a while now and have had zero luck finding one in stores or antiquing. I use lots of white in my eating area, but my table itself is pretty dark. So I just wanted to brighten up the center of my table. Just for kicks (and because it looked like it may fit), I decided to try this old shutter and actually loved the way it looked. It made my wood table really pop. Oh, and itâs chippy. You can never go wrong with chippy and white in my opinion.
The size was pretty perfect. Itâs actually skinny enough for us to still eat around it. We usually sit in the four black chairs, so it can stay even if we are eating on the table.
Iâm not sure if the shutter table runner will be a mainstay in my space, but for now, I think my shutter table runner was a super cute touch to my kitchen. So, that is what I accomplished yesterday. I hope that this inspires you to add those fun and unexpected touches to your own home! As always, thank you so much for stopping by the blog! You have no idea how much your support means to me!

It was a yard sale find so Iâm not sure where it originally came from. So sorry!
