Happy Friday friends!! I’ve been crazy busy this week getting all the things organized that Friday snuck up on me. I’ll be sharing a few areas that got organized in my house on the blog next week, but today, I wanted to share with you an issue that so many people have when they are decorating — how to decorate around a TV. Let’s face it, televisions aren’t usually the most attractive piece in a space and most of us would rather not just have a TV sitting there messing up the aesthetic we work to create. The good news is that there is a solution. There are actually so many ways to help disguise, hide, or just decorate around a tv, and today I’m sharing 5 of my favorites!
1. In A Gallery Wall
I love gallery walls more than you know, but when you can incorporate a television in it, that’s even better! I love how Alicia decorated around her tv in such a beautiful and classy way. It doesn’t look too cluttered, and she did an amazing job making the tv look like it is part of the scene. Another tip is to raise your tv up from your entertainment center a little more than you think it should to allow decor to go under it as well. Love this design so much!!

2. Behind A Sliding Barn Door
I have seen this idea many times, but I love how Sarah did it in her living room. She added pipes to the top to allow it to slide easily and handles on the door to make opening and closing effortless. Sarah has the most beautiful farmhouse style and creates a perfect disguise for her tv to meet her style perfectly. She even shared the tutorial of this brander on her blog linked below. Using a barn door and hardware store piping can be an easy DIY and perfect alternative to disguise your television.

3. Between Greenery
This ideas is super simple but can create a beautiful way to decorate around a tv that is above a mantel. I decorated this double sided fireplace for a client and chose simple topiaries to display on either side of the television. Decorating with greenery is a simple and beautiful way to decorate without being too cluttered or busy. If you like this look check out the rest of this home tour.
4. On a Wood Wall
This might be my all time favorite way to decorate around a tv! I love how Rachel made this wall with book shelves and a wood wall in the center to be the perfect backdrop for her television. It is simple, rustic, and classy. The tv looks great against the dark wood and blends in beautifully.

5. Behind a Picture
The last idea is from the one and only Liz Marie. I am constantly getting ideas from Liz and her idea for disguising her television is simply genius. She used this beautiful and very large picture to hide her television. Whether you make a picture retractable or just prop it in front of the tv, it’s an awesome way to hide your tv.
