Hi friends!! So sorry I have been MIA from the blog the past few weeks. Life just has been crazy especially this time of year. Iâm sure you know how that is. The last post that I did was all about my dining room makeover reveal. WellâŠ.I loved it, but my heart was telling me that this room needed to be an office. That was actually the original plan, so after I though about it, I knew we would get so much more use out of this room if it was an office. I kept the main fixtures the same but added a few key office accessories. Oh, and a fun wallpaper addition that I canât wait for you to see. I am so excited to share with you how my moody home office turned out!
Here it is! My moody home office reveal!! I am so in love with how it tuned out. You know itâs a success if all you want to do is come in here and sit. Even though not much has changed, I just love the office vibe it has. It feels cozy and inviting now. Like I mentioned, I kept the main fixtures the same. The oversized pendant, vintage inspired rug, and table are all the same. I just added a few key office details that helped turn this space into a home office.
Wallpaper Details
The first thing that I changed and what inspired the office was adding this simple but beautiful wallpaper from Wall Blush. This peel and stick wallpaper is called Lined Meadow. I fell in love with the simple floral design and knew it would look so good above my black board and batten wall. It was such great quality to work with and SO easy to hang. The panels were numbered which made hanging a breeze. It instantly added some much needed character to this room. So in love with how it turned out! If you are looking for gorgeous wallpaper, be sure to visit Wall Blush!
Home Office Desk Details
I decided to keep the small table that I had in my dining room and use it like an oversized desk. It works perfect for what I was looking for in a desk. Next, I decided to add some cute benches that I found at HomeGoods to put in front of the table to use as extra seating. The last thing was to find a good and comfy office chair. I went with an upholstered dining chair from the Studio McGee Threshold line. I love this chair!! Although it isnât technically an office chair, I love how it looks and itâs so comfy too.
Office Bookshelf Details
Every good home office needs some shelves, so I knew I had to find some that would fit on each side of my window. I found these wood and metal Hearth and Hand ladder shelves and knew they would compliment the room so well. I love how modern and simple the black metal legs are mixed with the wood shelves.
Oh, and I had the best time styling them. I used some items that I had been collecting and found a few more goodies from Target and TJ Maxx to finish them off. You can see some of the items that I used linked below.
This room has taken me years to figure out, but I think I finally got it right. Before, it wasnât really getting used and now, I literally use it everyday. This moody home office feels like me and I love it! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, and let me know if you have any questions!
