Hello friends and welcome to my Christmas kitchen tour! Iâm so excited to show you guys how JOANN inspired me to change things up this year and do a more neutral color scheme with my Christmas kitchen decor. If you remember my kitchen last year, I did lots of red and absolutely loved it, but I knew I wanted to do something different. After all, change is good!! Honestly, I didnât know what I wanted to do in here other than I wanted a neutral color scheme. Iâm so visual and really get my inspiration from seeing things in person. I decided to take a trip to JOANN and see if they had anything that spoke to me. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw my trip to JOANN in my stories. I never know what Iâm looking for until I see it. So, when I got there, I quickly got my inspiration after I spotted so many pieces that I knew would look so good in my kitchen.
My Kitchen Christmas Inspiration
JOANN had color coordinated Christmas sections, which was amazing. I was was immediately inspired by the mix of natural greens, flocked touches, and the natural element that I saw. They had so many pieces with green, black, and white, which was exactly what I was looking for. They also had my favorite black and white buffalo check print incorporated in so many of their pieces. So, let me show you all the beautiful items I got from JOANN to pull my neutral vision together.
Tablescape Decor With JOANN
I wanted to start the decorating with my tablescape. I knew that would help inspire the entire kitchen. Simple is kind of what I was thinking for this space. When you have 3 kids, you need to think simple. I needed something pretty but practical that could easily be moved when needed. I spotted these beautiful white vases and totally fell in love with them. They looked even more beautiful when I paired them with some flocked pine and sticks. It gave my table the most beautiful winter vibe that I loved so much.
Next was all about the place settings. Another super important piece that I wanted to incorporate in my table scape was a print, so when I spotted these black and white buffalo check towels, I knew they would bring in a beautiful Christmas touch. I paired it with my classic white dishes that I love because they literally go with everything! I mixed in some mini wreaths for the bottom layer and had this idea to add some name tags for the top of each setting. Name plates are perfect for around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I wanted something that I could reuse. I came up with a chalkboard wood slice name plate. I loved the wood slices because it would give my setting a natural element and the chalkboard idea because I could reuse them each year depending on who was coming over for dinner. They turned out so cute, and I even shared the super simple DIY with Joann!
The last inexpensive, cute, and super kid-friendly addition that I added to my table scape was this Kraft paper runner. I made a DIY scroll sign around Halloween and had some leftover paper. This super simple paper runner would be a fun and a bit unexpected touch to my Christmas table. I even love the idea of having the kids draw on it while they are waiting or even writing everything that they are thankful for this holiday season. My kidâs think this is the coolest, so thatâs a huge win in my book!!
Hutch Decor With JOANN
My absolute favorite piece to decorate is in my kitchen. This hanging hutch holds some of my favorite Christmas finds from JOANN. I knew I needed a focal point on the top. I was thinking a Christmas sign would be super cute, so I was hoping to find something fun that would go with my neutral theme. Guys, just look at what I found!!! This Christmas Trees sign literally had everything on my list of favorites. The colors were spot on, the black and white plaid print was perfection, and the adorable green trees and white trim made for the perfect sign. AHHH, I almost screamed with excitement when I spotted it. Isnât it just the cutest??
I also added some simple flocked garland to the top along with some pine and pinecones to bring in a few touches from my table. I also found the cutest little ceramic houses that I totally fell in love with. These guys just reminded me of a cute and cozy Christmas village, so I had to have them.
And to finish off the bottom of my hutch, I added a mixture of buffalo check and green mini wooded trees that I LOVE!! Are you seeing anything that you love yet? Just wait until you see how adorable my kitchen window turned out!
Kitchen Window Decor With JOANN
Did I say my hutch was my favorite spot to decorate? Well, this space comes in a very close second. I love this little spot in my kitchen so much. I especially love this shelf above my window, because I get to fill it with cute decor each season. For Christmas, I knew I wanted a sign, so when I spotted this JOY one at JOANN, I immediately knew it had to go above my sink. I used the rest of my decor to really pull my entire kitchen look together. I added a couple more white vases to the top along with a few more ceramic houses. Of course, I also added some more mixed greens and buffalo check to this space and just like that, my Christmas kitchen was complete.
Can you believe I decorated my entire kitchen for Christmas kitchen decor items from JOANN?? That is my favorite kind of decorating. Anything to help make my super busy life a little easier is the best, and I couldnât be happier with how pretty it turned out. JOANN of course had everything I was looking for to give my kitchen a neutral Christmas feel, but honestly, they had something for every style. They also had the prettiest selection of Christmas ornaments. Next on my list of to-do list is getting my Christmas tree ready. I canât wait to show you how I brought the neutral look into my living room Christmas tree. Stay tuned for that coming soon!
I would love to hear what items inspired you for your Christmas kitchen decor, and as always, thanks so much for stopping by the blog!
