EEEEEKKKK! I can’t believe it’s almost my favorite day of the year! That’s right guys, HALLOWEEN is my favorite holiday! I love Haloween for so many reasons, but mainly because of all the FUN that we have with friends and family. We always have everyone over for soup and sweets and then head out for some trick-or-treating. This year I wanted my house to have a fun and spooky area with snacks and candy for all the kids and adults to gather around by the front door, so I teamed up with JOANN to help bring my spooky Halloween entryway vision to life.
Halloween Inspiration at JOANN
My inspiration for this space was a creepy old haunted house – the scarier the better. Luckily, I had all of these chippy windows laying around that made for the perfect background. After I got my windows layered and hung, I headed over to JOANN to check out all of their Halloween decor. I had so much fun looking through all of their very fun and very spooky Halloween decorations. They had so much Halloween goodness to choose from that I honestly could have brought it all home with me.
My trip started with looking for items that would hold candy for my guests and trick-or-treaters, and I found exactly what I had envisioned. I scooped three of these wire spider web holders that came in two sizes. These are great because you can put pumpkins or trays on top of them. I also spotted these black pots . They were exactly what I was looking for to hold candy and treats. Of course, we couldn’t wait to get home so we could add our favorite Halloween candy to them.
The next thing that I spotted and knew would compliment my creepy haunted house windows were these black crows. These guys look so real and SO creepy hanging in my windows and branches. I love that they fit perfectly with any Halloween decorations. They also look great just perched on a pumpkin or table. They were exactly what this space needed to add a really creepy vibe.
JOANN also had the best selection of creepy table and window coverings. I decided my entryway table needed a black sheer on top of it, and I layered it with spider webs. You could add spider webs to anything and it automatically turns into an eerie scene. Spider webs are one of my favorite go-to Halloween accessories because they are so affordable and fun to drape along your house. My kids love decorating with it too around Halloween because you literally can’t mess it up. They helped me spread it along the table until we got it just right. They had so much fun helping me get this space ready for the big day!!
After I had my haunted house scene almost ready, I needed something in the middle to pull my look together. I decided a fun scroll sign was just what this space needed. Of course, JOANN had everything I needed to get this project started.
I love scroll signs for so many reasons, but primarily because I did this complete Halloween scroll sign for under $10. No joke!! It was so affordable and added so much to this space. I also love this project because you can make one for any occasion and you don’t even have to be a professional artist to make one. Trust me, I’m far from an artist and I am pretty excited about how it turned out. I shared how I made it and my step-by-step tutorial here. It’s so easy and a lot of fun to make!!
Finally, I finished off my Halloween entryway look by adding a few black and white buffalo check pillows and pumpkins, and my look was complete!!
So, bring on the trick-or-treaters. We are ready for you! I know on Halloween night, there will be lots more candy and treats on this table, and I can’t wait. I love that JOANN helped bring my spooky Halloween entryway to life! They had everything that I needed and so much more. They even made it so easy to make my Halloween scroll sign, and I’m very proud of how it turned out! Remember you can check out this DIY and so many more on the JOANN app. Thanks so much for stopping by, and Happy Halloween!!
